As part of their 40th anniversary celebrations, UB40 will release their first new single in six years, ‘Moonlight Lover’, on 12th October.
The single is the first to be released from UB40’s new album ‘For The Many’, which is due for release through Absolute on the eve of the group’s 40th anniversary tour in March 2019.
With UB40 founding member Norman Hassan on lead vocals, Moonlight Lover also features Birmingham rap artist Gilly G, who joined UB40 on stage at their sold-out concert at the Royal Albert Hall in June for the song’s first live performance.
Having sung lead vocals on numerous UB40 songs throughout their career – including the live favourite ‘Johnny Too Bad’ from the Labour Of Love album – this is the first time Norman has featured as lead vocalist on a UB40 single.
