Default Other musical tastes aside from Reggae?

Although Reggae is & will always be my number 1 thing musically, people are often very surprised to hear what other music I listen to on my iPod that I have rigged to my portable radio on the building sites I work on.

I just wondered what other bands are you all into as much as UB40 but that are far removed from Reggae?

Ie; you ALWAYS go to see them in concert & buy ALL their releases, go out and buy new material on day of release etc

My top faves are:

James (who I'm going to see in Brum Sunday)
Suede
Pulp
Dexys Midnight Runners
Embrace
Beautiful South
The Tears
Red Box

I'm sure you'll agree , very different from my Reggae fix!

Like alot of stuff outside of UB40 but my greatest obsession (outside of UB40 of course) is Glasgow's The Blue Nile who are just about the most fantastic band in the world.....

Four albums in 26 years is not exactly prolific.........

There are other bands I'll go and see when they play London, or nearby but they don't necessarily fulfil the rest of your criteria...

UB40 plays the only reggae I like big time, a few Bob Marley songs and thats it.

Other bands I like and go and went to see are the Stones, U2, Bryan Adams, Snow Patrol, AC/DC, Phil Collins and Genesis, Metallica, Status Quo... and so on.

Strange tast in music.....I know.

Besides the boys,Bob Marley, Lloyd Brown, I love anything wih a good beat, except house music or whatever its called these days, love Duffy and Amy Winehouse but also AC/DC seen them live a couple of times. Used to love Northern Soul when it was at its peak.
Don't like Jazz or Opera but I don't mind a bit of Andrea Bocelli because he reminds me of my dad.
