My mum had to put up with me as a teenager listening to UB records (yes by that I mean vinyl
![]() I must say that reggae is not really her thing...but I think I may have opened her eyes (or should I say ears!) She loved Eddy Grant. I must agree he was amazing live, such energy on stage! Anyone going to a gig on this tour is in for a real treat. His lovely lady backing singers were a real delight! The boys did their usual waves when they saw me and my friends at the front. I mouthed "this is my mum" and RBC said "hello mum!" and gave a huge wave. When BT saw her he put his hand on his heart. Much respect back to you sir ![]() I know there were a few grins from the stage as the boys noticed her shielding her ears from the noise. Not, she has stressed, that she didn't like the music, just that she wasn't used to being so close to booming speakers! ![]() Before Impossible Love, when RBC says "this is one to dance to your partner to" he looked at me and said "or your mum!" Big grins from mum and me and of course I just had to buy the live CD of the gig to hear my mum mentioned! ![]() After the gig we were lucky enough to see the boys for a few moments. Mum got hugs from RBC, BT and Norman and said how lovely they were and such gents ![]() ![]() She told me she can see why I love UB40 - both for their music and because they're such lovely guys. So on behalf of me and my mum a big thank you to UB40 and Paul for a great night ![]() Love, Elise & Sue xxxxxxxxxxxxx ![]() P.S. I think I may put a few tunes on a CD for her...and see if she plays them!

Awww thats lovely Elise. Sounds like we have another 'Loonie' in the making.
Our boys are so generous with their love and time. They go out of their way to make us feel special. That is probably why we love and respect them so much. Glad you and your mum had a brilliant time and hope you manage to get her to a few more gigs x Gx
