Cool Princes Trust All Star Band-Have the UB's ever been invited to join?

Hi All

I was watching the 2010 concert high-lights on Sky Arts and just wondered if any members of the band have been invited to join. I noticed that John Thirkell was in the brass section and there was Midge Ure on guitar and Mark King on bass.

Best regards

I watched that the other day on my mate's 3D telly!! There was an amazing line up of talent on display.... and Phil Collins was also there.

Criminal underuse of Mark King's thumb, but other than that the band sounded great, as you'd expect. Mark wothisname (ex Big Country) on drums too. Brilliant drummer. However, as good as the band sounded, it all came across as being a tad flat, in terms of the overall atmosphere, but as long as money was raised for what is without doubt a great cause, then job done.

I'm not too sure if any of the UB's would fit in to that inner circle of ex-Band Aiders etc. Not really the UB's kind of thing, I'd guess.

I saw Mark wotshisname - Brzezicki (or summat) t'other night doing his stuff back with Big Country. Have you seen the size of his kit? 2 bass drums for starters... yeah he can bash those skins well for sure.

I also can't see the UBs in with the Princes Trust crowd, shame though, it could be an interesting mash up....
