The problem with wind turbines, they don't store energy. they get turned off in high winds and really arn't cost effective, Also how many millions are given to people to have them on their lands and to keep them turned off, isn't camerons relative making a mint having them.

i'm all for cost effective solar panels, turbines etc, but i don't think they'll become fully popular or priced within everyones budget, the top energy companies have too much to lose, ie money. They're fine to let people double glaze, lag your tanks etc, but anything really benefical they're priced at top end.

Yes kathie. Green subsidies have become a bit of a racket. The tories [and the others too] are filling their boots agin with tax payers money. The same aristo land owners are raking it in. Wind turbines on one part of their land, and tracking on another.

But that doesn't change the fact that we need renewables. Battery technology is improving all the time. Power storage will be the answer. Germany has a much bigger proportion of power from renewables than we have. They have invested.

problem is, in the UK, when tax payers money is being invested, the spivs make all the deal at the golf club bar.

Wind turbines are the future.
