Ali left nearly 2 years ago.
Since then UB's have continued to do what they always do. Entertain by playing reggae music. We have done countless gigs since Ali's departure. Even started picking up a younger audience, particularly in the States.
As a performer the test is whether the audience have responded positively to the changes, and I have to say that the audience response has been phenomenal, as enthusiastic as ever. In fact, in this last year, the audience have been MORE enthusiastic than before. Fans know that you come out of a UB's show feeling high on music, and this is more true today than at any other time in our careers.
So what , exactly do we miss?
My answer, from a live point of view, is nothing.
It's time people moved on. Posts like this are completely pointless. If style jc doesn't like UB40 any more, fair enough. But we are still delivering a great live show. So nothing, for us, has really changed. Ali , on the other hand, is having problems finding a band that can deliver. For musicians to put all they have into their performances, like UB's do, ali is going to have to pay his session band a lot more than he is paying them at the moment.
Says it all doesnt it

Cant see how anyone can argue with that

To be honest really can't read everything said on this post.
Probably most reply's will be the same as mine.
Never, I mean never will I spent money on an AC gig.
I love UB40's music, wich he was part off, now he is not.
Duncan does a great job singing now.
For me it allways was the band UB40, and not only AC.
Never will I buy solo stuff from him again, the first 2 albums I do have.
But not impressed at all, like only 2 or 3 songs.
After all he said and done, he should be very ashamed off himself.
Not for me but, for his brothers and other family this most be very
horrible.
He can be very proud off himself

Brian, I agree with you totally. Ub40 and Ali Campbell are now both separate entities. I choose who I spend my hard earned cash on, and I will support whomever I f****** please. Enough has been said, lets stop the rubbish and get over it. Ub rules, Ali drools, support everyone or no one. I hate it when I get serious.
