...or for at least those band members who post here from time to time, so JB, Pikey, BT and RBC...
In the last FIVE years what has been your most favourite gig and why? Same question to the Loonies - you can only chose one gig and you must have a unique answer... PS: You can't have Samoa and you can't say "what he said".. (my game - so I make the rules) :bounce black: Paul |

it's a hard one, got 2 the signing off gig sheperdsbush london or the paradiso gig the first gig after the rehearsel gig.
Since I can only choose one it's gonna be the Paradiso gig. After the first note they played there was a sort of relieve not for me but for all in the audience. I knew then they would carrie on like they always did ![]()

So to answer my own question - I'd probably say Marbella, Spain last summer.
I was with the band leading up to the gig when they found out that GOTS was album of the week on radio 2, so that called for a early celebration. The gig was in a quarry at the back of Marbella with a huge stage and temporary stadia seating for what must have been 5 or 10 thousand people. It was the first time Midnight Rider was played (or easy rider as RBC announced) which I filmed for Martin (where is it Pikey?) and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was lovely weather, we were in shorts a t-shirts, met some great people who joined us at the gig, on the front row, and danced the night away. The band we're loving it and got really involved with the audience, the sound was amazing and the drinks were flowing. A proper brits abroad party atmosphere. A great after-show carry-on with some of the Ocean Colour Scene guys and then back to the hotel for more bevys, a pool competition and a sing-a-long of the unreleased GOTS. Then got kicked out of the bar area at about 3am by the hotel security for being too loud - as they were asking the band for autographs lol. Happy days! Paul |

I'd have to say the PRS show at the H&H because it was such a special occasion. My eyes still glaze over and I smile gormlessly when I think about it.
![]() When it comes to "normal" gigs I'd have to say Nottingham this year. They were on fire and the set list was far closer to what I would pick myself.Fantastic, ![]()

![]() Hickey, this is far too unfair a question. I shall have to mull over it...
