on friday the 9th of May we said goodbye to our friend Kevin McSheffery!

the sun was shining and there was a massive turnout for him down in his hometown of Greenock.
Twin Brian was a rock as he and his family were gathered and supported and joined by friends from afar such as Rob "countryman uk" and there was Kevin and Brians work colleagues and old school friends.
it was standing room only and the massive crowd only served to show how well loved and liked Kevin was, it was an honour to be there amongst the many to pay my respects to a man who was loved and respected by many.
as you would expect there was UB40 and Bob Marley played which raised smiles but also brought some tears, joy and sadness was felt as we said goodbye, but Kevin will always be in our thoughts and never ever forgotten.

at the hotel after, Brian had made a slideshow of photos with Kevin and all those nearest and dearest to him and that raised the spirits as people recalled the stories from the past, it was a celebration of all the good times Kevin had given us all.
for me the tears flowed as Kevin could make dreams come true as i know only too well, he helped me meet my musical heroes at our last gig together on march 31st, for this i will always be eternally grateful, although he will always be at any gig with me i'm sure.
Rob and I had our moments as Kevin meant a lot to us both and Brian has our support as he moves on and we will keep Kevin's memory alive.

Brian and his family were super strong and Liz, Kevins wife was a tower of strength too.

massive Big love to all the McSheffery's!

to Kevin, love ya mate....big love Ray xx rest well my friend!

I was so excited to meet the reggae twins Liverpool as we had spent so much time trying to understand how to get a podcast of the big love reggae radio on a non Digital radio.Rest in peace Kevin
