Default Less IS More Cambridge Review

Well here comes my review. There was no doubt that the UBs were in town, the queue outside of the venue was massive and the air was thick with excitement. I was a bit at a loss not having my sister with me, we have always gone to concerts together but was feeling poorly. Now just like the Campbells have their hereditary harmonious singing voices, me and my sister have a hereditary harmonious grove going on; so I decided to keep her informed by text so she wouldn't
miss out on anything.

It was getting a bit chilly outside, so I was glad to finally get into the venue. This was my first time at Cambridge Corn Exchange and the standing area looked like an extension of the bar area. The DJ was brilliant playing some fantastic tunes but not a lot of people were dancing, they were more busy getting in the next round! How anyone can hear music and not dance is beyond me Anyway, at last they appeared one by one on stage and it was amazing. Duncan certainly had his grove on and sang each song splendidly. It was lovely to hear a lead by Robin 'He'll have to go' one of my favourite Jim Reeves songs. Jim was in top form with his
rhythm sticks and Earl's singing of 'Oh America' was brilliant, with some great toasting.

The guys seem to be on an absolute high, they were laughing and joking with the crowd and each other, which added to the wonderful atmosphere. Twinkle toes Norman looked fabulous and certainly got a couple of ladies in front of me going . Now the horn section, oh my gosh, you guys were phenomenal. The combination of old and new songs was great and I loved everyone of the GOTS songs and so wanted to hear 'On the Other Hand live' but alas it was not to be.

My only negative were (1) Barriers, why? We dont bite ....... well I can only speak for myself (2) The dance floor was very sticky, in fact I thought my body was going to end up as a permanent memorial in the Corn Exchange lol (3) I really missed not having my sis with me.

All in all I have to say with all the current goings on, less was definitely more last night and the UBs are continuing to prove that they are the greatest reggae band ever. Thanks for an amazing night.

Sounds like you had fun....

But the barriers are just in case Duncan breaks out into his old habits of moshing!

He done himself an injury the last time

And there I was thinking they were trying to keep us out, not them in but in the interest of Duncan's safety, barriers are fine

Smashing read as expected but I'm afraid you'll have to do detention for handing it in late.

Cracking review,thanks for sharing.

Sorry sir, I would have handed it in on time but I had a headache, triggered by a crack I received on the back of my head by an inebriated young lady (seriously). I'll get my mum to write a note for you
