Birmingham Symphony Hall

just got in from brilliant night. this was my only gig of the signing off tour and it didn't disappoint. in fact it was pretty special. i thought hare and hounds was pretty special but this was in a different way. Firstly the venue was just great. I can only compare it to when they played the royal albert hall or somewhere like that. Was a gorgeous place and every single seat was taken. it was a great crowd and great atmosphere. the security guard by us was a complete knob head but that didn't spoil my enjoyment of the gig. got completely bollocked for filming repeatedly despite robin telling crowd we could. apparently my tiny video camera could have injured someone lmao. ahh well i still got plenty of clips. now gig itself - it was such a special and one off experience to hear that kind of setlist. i can't see it ever happening again so i cherished every moment of it. every song was just perfect. Think highlights for me where signing off itself and little by little. they have done such a great job of re-introducing these classics and have made them sound so fresh. crowd seemed to love it - all up and dancing throughout. was a bit worried with more obscure tracks being played there may be a few bums on seats but i couldn't see any (apart from 1 bloke on the front ow who had obviously been dragged there by his wife, who wouldn't dance despite brian telling him to lol). Was lovely to see lots of loonies there. A few of us were lucky enough to sneak backstage after and were well looked after with food and drinks. Shame i was driving. Eventually everyone had to vacate the premises just before 1:00. Now i must try and go to sleep but am still ona high. Got a few pics which i will try and post.
