hahaha..And i believe his challenge on the opposing player did deserve a red card which means that yes he did deserve to be sent from the field of play,but i do not think for a moment he meant to fracture numerous bones in his leg

absolutely.

any tackle over the ball whether one foot or two should be penalised that way. most of the time it doesn't end up with such a bad injury, but they all have the potential to.
