Enjoy yourself in my home town.
Good advice about the pickpockets on the tubes, mum had her purse stolen out of her bag on the tube a couple of years ago. Sad state of affairs

If you buy a family railcard you can get a 1/3 off all travel to anywhere in the country for a year :)
Also at main stations they have a leaflet which does 2 for 1 offers to some of the London atrractions 8)

Yes, ive heard that but it would cost us 128.00 return on the train on satday. :(

So we gonna drive to Leicester meet up with grandad and he gonna drive us to the Eastend from there.and then catch some bus or something?? :?: :?:

im going defo satday,,, anyone know anything about the sight seeing buses??? :?: :?: :?:

only that they are a bit of a rip off - 18 for an adult and 12 for a child. You're better off getting a one day travel card - Zone 1+2 which covers all the centre of London and out to Docklands will cost 5.10 for an adult off peak ... if you have a look on the TFL website it mentions something about getting children's tickets for 1 if they are travelling with you. That way you can hop on and off as many buses/tubes as you like.

If you've got a plan of where you want to go I'll gladly give you some help with the best way to get to them. :friends:

Weather is supposed to be sunny on Saturday so should be a nice day for sightseeing. :)

I took my kids on one of these, really enjoyed it , you get to see a lot but be warned it is chilly and you will want to be upstairs so take coats. We also did the boat trip down the Thames that was great too, and London eye. Tower of London was not so good. My advice is not to plan too much for one day and be prepared to pay a lot. Have a great time
