****....tough one nigel....impossible to say....i suppose the really BIG ones stand out like wembly stadium, madison square gardens etc etc.... as they are exciting to be around...but its the small ones where the best playing gets done...i will have to think about this as there have been so many....i suppose its always good to play at home after a long tour......... http://www.demo3w.com/ubb/smokin.gif

Brian, I've always felt you guys looked so very much at ease in the 1989 gig in Birmingham that ended off your tour at that time....Ali was chatting it up with Robin on stage right in the middle of the songs (always wondered what they were saying!)....and I think that was the one where Earl did that great dub version of Baby--so sweet....you guys were just so relaxed and Ali commented that you probably knew just about everyone in the crowd! I felt like you guys were really groovin' and giving off and receiving real great vibes at that concert even from my simply watching it on video. So I'm gonna put words in your mouth and say that must have been one of the most memorable ones for ya! http://www.demo3w.com/ubb/bouncepurple.gif

Big love always,

Desperate

P.S. http://www.demo3w.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif I do this everytime! Earl's dub version of Baby was of course in the Finsbury Park video--that was a great gig too, but the one I'm thinking of is the gig at the football stadium in Birmingham around '89 with the Robert Palmer performance.
