Just a bit of fun guy's. As we all know UB40 have locked themselves in their studio and are hard at work on their new studio album. The working title for the album is "Cover Up". Now, if you had the chance to name the new album, what would it be and why ?
Anyone who says LOL4 will be shot !!! http://www.demo3w.com/ubb/smile.gif
As I said, it's just a bit of fun as I'm sure the boys have it sorted anyhow. Get your thinking caps on and post your suggestions below. A huge bag of skunk goes to the best reply !!! http://www.demo3w.com/ubb/smokin.gif

Being that the album's title track is about safe sex. I say it should be called "Put It On". What do y'all think?

Well if it's about safe sex then:

"NO GLOVE NO LOVE"

Nice work massive.... keep 'em rollin' in, I love stuff like this. Nice one from G-Dawg. Wasn't "Put it on " a Marley tune ?? Good suggestion.. catchy, has a subtle safe sex meaning & also gives a nod & a wink to the king himself http://www.demo3w.com/ubb/cool.gif (God ...I sound like a wine expert don't I?)

Anymore ..??

Before Guns was released I heard it was going to be called Flying High, has nothing to do with Cover Up and no amusing double meaning but certainly applies to the UB's if sales of the Very Best Of are anything to go by.

I like this question, Astro's Beard.

I know that most albums use the title of the single as the title of the album but I've always felt that an album title should really reflect the whole of the album as much as possible and not just the title track itself. I don't think this entire album is about safe sex...just one song is as far as I know. It's my understanding that the rest of the album will have a variety of reggae with even some collaborations with other artists and maybe a bit of experimentation with the riddims. To me, the album title should reflect all of that plus the fact that it's the celebration of their 21 years in the business and the fact that it's the first album they will have written while in such close and constant contact with the fans on the internet--something that I would think either consciously or subconsciously had an influence in their creation of the music. I would suggest, then, a simple title like "Cover Up and Celebrate". It has the title of the single and the word celebrate would mean celebrating the protection of life and use of safe sex, celebrating the 21 years of UB vibes, celebrating the love of the fans, and celebrating the future of reggae that we'll likely see in the new and different sounds created by the UB's on the album.

My suggestions is "Fazeley Street Blues" or "Back To The Top" or "Dep Tunes".

Great response posse !! "Fazeley Street Blues" is a wicked one http://www.demo3w.com/ubb/smile.gif Nice pun work Chronic ! (Fazeley street blues ... Hill Street Blues... geddit ??)

If you look at songs as musical pictures then mine would be "Every picture tells a story".

The great Stevie Wonder once released an album called "Songs in the key of life". One of the best album titles ever, in my opinion. And, as it happens, one of the best albums ever released ... and it was a double as well. Go Stevie !!

Anymore for anymore ?? Joris.. where you at ?
