Default missing a gig?

While working in Tamworth (Birmingham) yesterday I briefly noticed a poster advertising a UB40 gig on July 3rd somewhere in the area. Unfotunately I'd passed it before I'd managed to read all the details. As there's nothing on the web page to collaborate this I'm begining to think I must have imagined it. Can anyone out there help or am I just losing what's left of my mind?
PS... Who the F*** is ADAM?!!

Thanks for the prompt reply mate. No wonder everyone's hunting for him: he has alot to answer for! With regards to the gig matter, plase keep your ears open, as I'm sure I didn't imagine it. I'm a relative virgin when it comes to this site and as I travel alot I don't know when I'll next get the chance to look in, but if you do hear anything please post it; as I missed them by a day last year in Bournemouth and the same a year or two ago in Australia, I'd hate to miss another.

Tee Hee! I could, but I always have problems leaving that place. For some reason I never want to come home again once I get there (it must be all the cake shops or something!). Not to worry, I've got one of my mates working in Tamworth tomorrow with instructions to take down the poster details. See: I'm not the only one that's seen it!!! I'll make sure to post the details upon receipt if only to prove I'm not tripping. Unless of course it is in Amsterdam, in which case I'll be the one in the corner wearing the Twat-Hat!

hi blesschess

sorry to dissapoint you but UB40 are definitely not playing in Tamworth on 3rd July. The advert you saw will be for a gig by Rats in the Kitchen who are an absoloutly terrific tribute band. They are playing at the Snowdome. They're the net best thing to seeing UB40 play as they are fantastic. Hope you manage to get yourself along to it.

You can learn more about the Rats on their site

p.s. welcome to the board

Thanks Helena for restoring faith in my sanity! Though next time be the bearer of better news would ya? - like they're guesting at Glastonbury and you've just found two tickets down the back of the sofa for example! The rats in my kitchen will have to wait though as I've got enough on with the ants at the moment who seem to be doing a far better job of turning my kitchen cupboards into sawdust than rats ever could!
