This is exactly what Bagga and I have been saying since Astro left. We were at that SF show...it has to be one of our favorite UB40 gigs ever. Besides that one we've seen them so many times since Ali left and 90% of the time Astro wasn't with them because he was denied his visa. Goes to show that they still put on one hell if a show and the fans still love them!

As my good friends Jolene and Bagga point out, without Judas and his merry men there is little difference.
Having seen the band without AC, AW and MV on more than 10 occasions, and having seen AC solo, I'm probably more qualified than most to offer up an informed opinion. A I mentioned in a post the day Astro departed, no real change - business as usual. A big deal from an "ethical" point of view, but from a "musical" point of view, I already knew what most others had to wait to see...so I had few concerns. It's a bit like a racing team, such as Redbull: lets say that 6 years ago the team lost its driver, but another equally competent driver was recruited, it also lost an interior light and more recently, it lost a wing-mirror. Big deal, the engine, the chassis and all the vital components remain and the car has carried on competing and winning. The driver that left is still in the pitts with his light and wing-mirror claiming to be Redbull. Go on Dunx, you can have that analogy for free, along with my marriage/divorced analogy from last week that you used in a recent interview...  Have fun in Dubai lads and keep Nomski away from the big grill!  Paul
