Default What Do You Think Of This Jimmy?

BBC News - Anger at Thatcher death T-shirts on sale at TUC

I certainly think the t-shirts are in poor taste but there's nowt wrong with a bit of poor taste now and then.To those who are outraged, look at Maggie's legacy. She and her cohorts "danced on the grave" of heavy industry, manufacturing and working people in large swathes of the country. The number of lives she ruined is huge and we are still witnessing the catostophic effects her policies had on social cohesion, including third generation joblessness, sink estates and hard drug use.

Compared to that legacy the sale of a few offensive t-shirts seems very trivial.

I think it's fkn hilarious tom.

Thatcher doesn't deserve sympathy because she showed zero sympathy for all those people's lives that she blighted. People who had none of the advantages that SHE enjoyed from birth. her sociopathic tendencies exempt her from the usual empathy we show to our fellow human beings.

I hope they sell sh*t- loads of those t-shirts and put the money towards a strike fund.

Eh yes.....a meeting I was at recently was selling special Maggie party poppers .....

It may be in bad taste....but here is the thing.....the damage is done....a whole country is socially and economically reeling as a consequence of her actions......

She is now incapable of standing trial for or understanding these consequences...

It would appear ....(to those who don't believe in God and judgement day) ...that she has gone unpunished..........

and so ....if those who suffered (& still suffering) ON MASS.... celebrate her death....it may act as a deterrant to those who are alive......who really don't seem to understand the depth of feeling against her.....or the damage she caused......

Think this story shows the folly of a possible state funeral for her.

Would that be so you could ensure there was 'smoke' pouring from her coffin?

And jack [sh*t] straw refused an enquiry. To think he was a trotskyite once

Hillsborough happened during Maggie's 'reign'.... no doubt she had more than a hand in encouraging the changing of statements and mud flinging...
