Default PARADISO GIG AMSTERDAM 26/11/10 - help

Hi all fellas, it's being a long time without posting (though I always read the BB), it's beacause I've got to be sent to Madrid for taking a Master in Exploration and Production of gas and oil... So now that your peruvian friend's here it's a little bit easy to go to some gigs... Altough the band is in America... So now I'm plannig to attend to the Paradiso Gig in Amsterdam next 26/11, I/m plannig to go to this hostel

Amsterdam Vondelpark | Hostel | Stayokay

I Think its close to the gig, right?... so If anyone of you could give me some advice about how to get to the hostel from the airport or how much it's supposed I should pay for a taxi I'd be very pleased...

Another concern is how to get to Nijmegen gig... if it's easy to reach that place from Amsterdam I think I could go as well.

So, who's going???

Thanks a lot fellas.

Your peruvian friend.

Julio.

xx

hello Julio

would love to say I'm going but sadly not.

Taxi s outside the airport would charge about 40 euros to your hostel. I expect one of the dutch loonies would be able to tell you how to get there by bus or tram - which would be much cheaper.

love jx

It's a lot cheaper to take the bus no. 197. This will cost you about 4 euros and takes you to the Leidseplein which is walking distance of your hotel. The busstop is right outside Schiphol Airport and it's a green bus with the word 'Connexxion' on it. Good luck and have a nice stay in Amsterdam

Julio - there are direct trains from Amsterdam Centraal station (not far from your hostel) to Nijmegen, travel time about 1 1/2 hours.

It pays to know these things

Hi, it is possible to travel by train from Amsterdam to Nijmegen it takes 1½ hour. Maybe this link can help you? And if you click on Means of travelling you also can find busses or trains from Schiphol to the centre of Amsterdam.

Thank you all friends!! I'll continue investigating but I think It will be possible to attend to both, do you know if transportation from Nijmejen is available 24 hours so that I can return to Amsterdam as soon as the 2nd gig finishes?

Thanks again!
