Yes it looks like Facebook has definitely replaced this website.. I keep asking people to make an effort to come back here, but I can see the band and management ditching the whole idea if it doesnt happen.. not the website of course, but the ghost town of this bb. It all costs £££s to run and that's fine if it's being used, but a big old waste of money if it isn't.

There are over 1.2 million on the facebook Official page, but the one where we all talk is 100 shy of 23,000 users. The big one is so fast moving with so many people chatting on it that it's hard to keep track of a conversation.

I am one of the admins on all three pages. And some other ones besides! I pop in here daily but no one else seems to bother. It's a shame as this one is the proper one in my book. The one that SHOULD be running long after facebook goes out of fashion. I have nothing to do with Twitter. I just havent got the time or the energy! lol I dont even run my own Twitter page for my company.

I dont know anything about losing lots of posts though. If I search peoples names.. Dutchie's for instance, I get back to 2011. Maybe they have a time scale of being shown on the front page? No one is deleting any to my knowledge anyway

Any ideas to keep this bb alive are more than welcome!

A shame to let this BB go to waste! I say we are fortunate to have our own BB and its gotta be better to actively use it rather than the FB which is sadly taking over!
I'm happy not to even attempt FB. #twitter is as far as I go.!!

some of you may remember that I`m a quo fan too and management pulled the plug on our official message board because of all the rows and negative comments.
they replaced it with a facebook page and I`m probs missing out on a lot of old members I used to know but I just don't want to go down the facebook (or facecloth as I call it ) path.

Admittedly, I have been on Facebook than on the BB far more. I do feel bad about it and I don't want to BB to one day have little purpose. I know I need to better balance the FB use and going on the site.
There is a wealth of great info on this excellent website. And the posts are great too. It would be great if all who are on facebook a lot for their UB40 & UB40 related posts, info, etc could share this website as well. Still a truly great place to come.

It is a shame that this place is becoming a ghost town. I post on FB a lot, but I don't see why a lot of people exclusively choose FB over this site. Can't we have both?! It really isn't that difficult. I hope more people come back and at least post every now and then on here. Would be a shame to see it go away. A lot of us have lots of memories from this board.
