Default UB40 frontman Campbell to headline Waterfront concert

UB40 frontman Campbell to headline Waterfront concert | honoluluadvertiser.com | The Honolulu Advertiser

Can't remember how to post links anymore.

Wanted UB40 to come to Hawaii, but this is NOT what I wanted. Guess I have to wait longer.

In my case i would follow his schedule and try to play where ali is going to play, just to make sure he doesn't get in any festival, but that would be impossible to do for the ub's. One word for these kind af messenges, bloody wankers, how fricken low can they go

UB40’s Ali Campbell

The legendary front-man of UB40, Ali Campbell, is returning to Hawaii with his all-star reggae band to perform all of the UB40 classics. Since 2008 he has been selling out shows around the globe. He will headline this monster show that will also feature New Zealand's hottest reggae band, Three Houses Down. Also gracing the stage will be local heavyweights, Fiji, and The Mana'o Company, as well as up-and-comer Siaosi. This is a show that will cater to the likings of the young and old, guaranteed to sell out! Various vendors will also be participating in the festival like atmosphere.

UB40's success has spanned over 3 decades, and they are as popular in Hawaii as they are anywhere in the world. As lead singer with UB40, Ali Campbell has sold over 60 million records worldwide, toured across the globe, notched up four number No. 1 world-wide singles, over 40 Top 40 UK singles, and released 24 studio albums. Ali will be accompanied by a 14-piece band of reggae music vets that are sure to set Aloha Tower ablaze with timeless UB40 classics such as "Red Red Wine", "Here I Am", "The Way You Do the Things You Do", and "Kingston Town"… to name a few.
The bad thing is it'll probably sell pretty well because the local people will go to see the other artists who are all pretty popular here, and there are still a lot of people who will think they're going for UB40 because the don't know any better.

UB40's Ali Campbell???? This is getting beyond a joke now. In anyone's eyes this gives the impression that he is still with the band. I was as upset as anyone when he left the band and was hoping to enjoy concerts and music from both arttists. He really needs to review his behaviour. He can't blame anyone else. He needs to stand up and be counted.

Best regards

Chronic
