3 Ex members using UB40 name Valentines Fm Nigeria gig

To all accounts they have got bad reviews which are now in UB40's name....it is so unfair that a quickly cobbled together band with random Ex members are allowed to do this

As fans, we hesitated before writing this, however as still legal case, maybe band members can't comment ...... but I think people should know that they did not get the real thing ... and so ....

I lived in Africa and you are far away from records and news , but when a band you remember comes to town you get excited and would not think of researching it ....

Very sad and unfair ....

However what goes around ...comes around...

The problem is people especially the people who listen to Best of UB40 and only really remember them from the 80s & 90s. Will always associate UB40 with Ali and Astro and sadly Ali and Astro knows it as well which is unfair for the rest of the band members. And I am sure Ali & Astro are having a good laugh trying to steal fans I have listened to the album Flying High it sounded like a mock UB40 album than the real thing or more to how Ali wants UB40 to sound like. The real UB40 need to take some sort of action now.

Don't journalists have an obligation to make sure that the person or band they are talking about is actually the same person or band in reality?

I know that journalists write blatant crap and lies everyday, but they could find themselves liable if they falsely identify someone. They wouldn't get away with 'accidentally' saying something like Hue Jackman slept with a Las Vegas hooker rather than Hue Grant, so why should this kind of case be any different.

I'm not having a go at the journalists who've already written stuff, I just think it might be something for something for the real UB40 press team to look into to avoid further confusing articles.....
