You lost me there JB. I can understand how the British wouldn't want to scare off American corporations/investors, but what does this particular transaction have to do with the American government?

Didn't know that, Paula.

Global domination? Although, aren't Kraft actually in debt and had to borrow the money to buy Cadburys?

I was just making the point that, the reason patricia hewitt amended the legislation the way she did was because that is what the multi national corporations wanted her to do.....................And the US government are controlled by the same people. I don't necessarily mean Obama, he's an outsider. The corporations are doing everything they can to stop him. Almost all of washington has been 'lobbied' [or bribed to be more accurate] by these companies.

Have left? The US sent back Ozzy!! I think you should send UB40 to North America, not only as a trade for Ozzy (I know, not a fair trade at all), but also a good will gesture. Please. PRETTY PLEASE?!!!

People make loadsa money off these transactions, personal money, they don't care if the very people they are supposed to be representing lose work over it.

Cadbury's Chocolate will never be the same. Eat American Cadbury's and English Cadbury's...BIG difference. American is not near as good...Take it from me, a chocoholic.
