Default My 2 year old likes the autotuned Earl.....

Listening to LOL4 in the car today and 'Tracks Of My Tears' came on which is a great track and my toddler pipes up 'I like this one'

Is there someting they put in the water that makes kids like her born in the 21st century 'Autotuned'

Saad, they lace the water with crack, that's how people grow up loving autotune. But I must admit, Earl autotuned on that track actually doesn't sound half bad, not as good as without it though

i am the only person who hates that effect on vocals??

its the only track on there i have to skip, if it was just Earl's normal voice it would be fine

I'm not a fan of it either but I like the track. Didn't Cher first use it? Perhaps for obvious reasons....

Yes...good taste - I like this track......with the autotune......reminds me of a song I used to adore...."computer love"...ok showing my age...but that frequency appeals to me!

A whole album would be intolerable but because Earl's voice is suited to it and it's been used sparingly I think it works really well on both tracks and brings another angle to the UB40 sound.

I think it's simply a matter of taste. Some like it, others just don't.

I've put a Smokey's version immediately followed by the UB one in my phone cause I find the two equally great.
While the depth of lyrical emotion is dominant in the first one, the second one comes up with brilliant musical arrangements of which I think Earl's autotuned voice are nicely integral of ... It's always a nice feeling to hear it kicking in.
