So so sad...must be so difficult for him to make such decision . Im very curious what the rest of the band going to do now because they heard it themselves 15 minutes before tammy was told. Without ali, michael and now astro for me it's no ub40 anymore ; ( one of the reason was that stupid country stuff

It's hard to fathom.....no band meetings called to clear the air, voice an opinion about the direction of the music, discuss the future? What happened to the democracy of UB40?

Smaller venues may not be as financially lucrative, but the intimacy cannot be beat!

Nail, coffin and final very upsettingly spring to mind.

Thought this was a hoax first but I can't see a way forward now. Three major parts of the old linup now departed, I'm so scared that our beloved UB40 will limp on with a couple of original members in a few years, clinging on to the band name and playing smaller and smaller venues.

Dont get me wrong, I love the last album and Duncans impact but my one main complaint in my review of it was the lack of Astro input, very rare not to hear a toast from him and maybe this is why.

Lets see what happens but I wouldnt be too upset to see them bow out on what I feel is a relative high, before it gets too low. Maybe a greatest hits project and a couple of new tracks.

OR we could get them all in a room and smash heads together! Get talking lads, show him you've got a clear direction if you have!
