Eddy Grant, Rotterdam photos

Eddy Grant is, has already been stated in other reviews an excellent entertainer that really gets the crowds going, with both his old and new songs alike.
The Rotterdam gig, having got the audience into the groove and dancing and singing along he stopped and started to give a small speech. Hind sight, being a wonderful thing I would have put the camcorder on and recorded it, but there you go, I didn't.

Eddy thanked the audience, then said he really wanted to say a special thank you to UB40 for bringing reggae music to the masses and helping the songwriters and recording artists get recognition for their work. Which UBs had done with their Labour of Love albums. It was a special moment to us loonies in the crowd. I don't know if the band were made aware of this. I don't usually write reviews, I just wanted to add it.

I'd recommend anyone going to the gigs get there in time for Eddy and his crew. Well worth it in my humble opinion.

I had no idea that Eddie said that. He's a really lovely guy. Eddie and UB40 are a perfect match. I love it when the support act is someone as talented as Eddie, it makes for a great nights entertainment.
