Thumbs down Q Magazine Review For New Album **

Hi all,

Just read the review in Q Magazine, not very good to be honest, described as (Houswives Favourite Country Songs) and limp, playing it safe etc, gave it 2 ** out of 5, don't think they've had a decent review in there since Promises & Lies,

Respect,

Aaron.

It used to be quite a respected publication dealing mainly in those topics along with somemainstream rock also. Now it covers pop also and has too many jokey articles about "Proffessor Green" and other chart bothering bollocks.
I read the review yesterday in my local Wh Smiths, it wasnt scathing as such, just said that the album was abitone noted and didnt have much pace. the Ubies are never going to appeal to the Q crowd and its writers, so Im amazed it got 2 stars. I do seem to remember that LOL IV got 3 stars and wasnt totally dismissed which was refreshing.

The more reviews, whatever they are, .... the merrier...... I suspect any band >10 years old can be reviewed as "playing safe" .... personally I think it says more about a reviewer lack of vocabulary ...miaaaawwww
