Default I don't wanna see you cry

I've got to tell you goodbye babe
But I don't want to see you cry babe
I'm leaving you behind
But it's just for a time

Yeah, I'm going for a few days, maybe a few weeks. Where am I going? I don't know. But I need to sort some things out. Will I sort them out? No probably not, in fact chances are that I'll get nothing done and I'll be back the same old person

Nobody cry, please

x

Sounds like you're bored, young man, go and clean your room, lol.

Failing that come up with an idea to stop illegal copying of music, BT and Jimmy, will be forever in you debt. Jimmy would probably even wave at you at futures gigs.

You do that, Anant. I'll expect a full report later.

After your finished cleaning your room, you may take a break and watch the videos. Dont get lax young man, if your on a search, then dont let the telly get in your way. Go on a journey and find out about yourself, give yourself the freedom to find out who you are and why your feeling this way. Take care of yourself.

Love you Anant

Cheers 2fingerz, that really helped

I don't know what it is. Maybe I'm lazy, mad, obsessive, or just a damn cool guy

Hopefully I'll be a doctor in a few years, and so I'll have bigger problems...

If you read this post you are a saint:

The main way illegal content is downloaded is via torrent:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent_(protocol)

There are a few ways to stop illegal torrents. One is to shut down the websites providing them, in fact pirate bay was prosecuted a while back. most other ways involve the isp. Some isp's, such as Virgin Media, have implemented a 3 strikes policy:

1st offence: warning
2nd offence: warning or suspension
3rd offence: service discontinued.

The isp's can track internet traffic, what you're downloading and how much. But there are several dilemmas to overcome:

Who to prosecute?

The people who invented the torrent protocol. We must remember that torrents can also be used for speedy download of completely legitimate data.

The websites that host torrents. This is what has been done most extensively and is the most effective way to fight piracy.

The people pirating the software. Going down the food chain, this would involve isp's tracking uploads from suspected ip addresses.

The downloaders. The lower down the food chain you go, the more numbers involved. There are millions of illegal downloaders and tracking each and every one would be possible but expensive and time consuming.

Why don't the isp's do it then?

There are several issues here:

Privacy: the privacy of the customer must be respected and not compromised.

Money: if an illegal downloader fears prosecution, they can simply switch to another provider who is not so tight. Thus this would lead to a loss of customers for the isp.

It benefits the economy : because piracy is prevalent in today's society, it means people will upgrade their broadband speed just to download more, which is beneficial to the isp. Also, pirating of video games sells computer hardware, and game consoles.

Also, there was a study a while ago which actually stated that illegal downloaders actually spend the most on music each year
