Maybe because it is the financial sector that controls politics rather than the other way around. Not that I would have any faith in either of them if that were not the case..

Ok, what's with public sector cuts?! It's clearly never going to work...and UK isn't the only country to do this.

Why doesn't the government look at countries with a smart economy, like Sweden?

Politicians and councillors are quick to go on 'fact-finding' tours and produce same-formula results... Just recently an Aussie polly went overseas at a cost of $20 000 and his report was 6 weeks late and plagerised parts from the internet! AND some of that info he copied was outdated!!

Hilarious.

If you can get on the political bandwagon then its the best gravy train in the world. I cant think of anyone for a long time whos got into politics because theyve wanted to change the world and make a difference.
Just on a local level, there was a man who wanted to build a house next to my Mums and the plans were excessive and my Dad was disputing it. Anyway, they had to have some councillors out to look at the area where this house was to be built one Saturday morning. Well I was there and I asked a councillor how much she was getting paid for 5 minute visit, she was very honest, she said £200 plus expenses. Fffffing hell, thats where your money goes peeps.
