My favourite top five albums … well today anyway
1. Signing Off – even after to 30+ years, this is still tops for me. I just love the lyrics and musical compositions of each song; a very empowering album.
2. Labour of Love – this album just takes me back to my childhood, good old time blue beat love songs
3. Fathers of Reggae – respect to the fathers …. Blessing up UB40 choons
4. Getting Over the Storm –this album brilliantly combines reggae and country music. I can’t wait to hear some of these tunes live.
5. Geffery Morgan – some serious chooooons on this album.

And Gove wants to extend your working day. What a clown.

Always remember a music teacher commenting on my rather untidy writing. He wrote in my excercise book in red ink "Have you considered joining the medical profession".

I certainly don’t need my work day extended. I work a nine hour day (never stop for lunch) in school and about two or three more at home. However, that just about sums up this government? Let’s beat them into submission by administering pay freezes and then giving increases that are not in line with inflation. Moreover, let’s get them to work even more hours, so that their hourly rate would subsequently be less than or equivalent to the minimum wage. In the words of UB40 ‘As always you were wrong again’ !!!.
