Tickets now onsale for our Thames Cruise...

Event 4 of 12: Good Friday 18th April 2014
THE LONDON INTL SKA FESTIVAL THAMES CRUISE starring
KEN PARKER, KEITH & TEX, plus support
onboard the Dixie Queen.

Undoubtedly one of the highlights of this years London Intl Ska Festival was our Studio One Thames Cruise aboard the beautiful Dixie Queen paddle steamer.

For The London Intl Ska Festival 2014 we return to the Dixie Queen, this time for an evening cruise, on Day 2 of the festival. The line-up includes exclusive UK performances from three of the finest singers to come out of Jamaica KEN PARKER and KEITH & TEX.

Ken Parker
Having launched his career with at Studio One Ken Parker went onto record for Duke Reid, Byron Lee, Joe Gibbs, Rupie Edwards, Lloyd Chamers and Bunny Lee, releasing the all-time classics; I Canít Hide, True True True, Jimmy Brown, Groovin, My Whole World Is Falling Down, Have A Good Time and sublime versions of A Change Is Going To Come and Help Me Make It Through The Night, to name a few.

Keith & Tex
Keith & Tex are the Jamaican rocksteady duo best known for their 1967 hit Stop That Train, a song that went onto spawn not one but two classic versions; Scotty's Draw Your Brakes, which featured in the film The Harder They Come and Big Youth's Cool Breeze.

Under the guidance of one of JA's greatest producers Derrick Harriott they recorded a series of singles in the late 1960s, including "Stop That Train, Tonight, This Is My Song, Don't Look Back (a cover of The Temptations' song), and Let Me Be the One. They ceased working together in 1970, but now return in fantastic voice.

We are honoured to have them all performing back in London for the first time in 4 decades. Don't miss this incredible event!!
